Zoe-perry

Perry is the child of Laurie Metcalf (actor) and Jeff Perry (actor). The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not want her to take on acting roles until she was older and worried about the consequences of stress. Perry was a shy teenager and didn't act. Her first acting experience was at Northwestern University to gain friends when she moved to the university from Boston University. Following her graduation, Perry moved to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles on series such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent but homesickness brought her back to California which is where she discovered theater jobs. She and her mother starred on Broadway with her as part of The Other Place, in 2013. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prizewinning drama Anna Christie with her in 2015. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes of ABC's thriller The Family. In 2017, Perry starred in a role on ABC's political thriller Scandal along with her father. The actress also portrayed in the role of a older Mary Cooper in Young Sheldon, a CBS spin-off from The Big Bang Theory. She got the part through an open audition despite being connected to this persona.
